Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What file types do you accept for digital printing?
A. We prefer to use AI, EPS, PSD, and PDF files, but with digital printing several file types can be used including TIFF and JPEG, the higher resolution the better!
Q. What is the difference between vector and raster file types?
A. A vector file is one where there are lines or defined edges of the graphic (including text) and the computer fills color in between those lines. A very small vector graphic can be enlarged to any size and it will still look exactly the same. A vector image can be cut from vinyl or it can be printed. A raster file is made up of pixels or small boxes of different colors to make up an image. Photographs are raster images. Most complex graphics are raster images. Our ability to enlarge a raster image depends on how large of an image we start with and the number of pixels per inch in that image. An example is you may have an image that was designed to use on the web and it is 1" x 1" at 72 ppi. You may have another graphic that is 1" x 1" at 300 ppi. We could expand the 72 ppi graphic 3-4 times as large without to much distortion. The 300 ppi graphic may be able to expand to 10-12 times it size without to much distortion.

Q. How many colors can I use on a vinyl sign?
A. You can use as many colors as you like but the standard sign cost includes a background color and one letter color.
Q. Can logos be cut out of vinyl?
A. As long as you have your logo in a vector format and the logo consists of solid colors it can be cut out of vinyl. If your logo has shading in it, images, or uses colors not available in the standard vinyl, it will need to be digitally printed on to vinyl first, then cut out in order to retain these attributes.
Q. How long will my project take to complete?
A. On average, projects take between 3 – 5 days to complete from the time that the artwork is approved.
Q. How many colors are available?
A. All primary colors are available at no additional cost. Metallic as well as various shades of colors are also available, so there are quite a few colors you can choose from.
Q. Can I do a custom size sign?
A. Sure you can. We just ask that you design at full size or a size that can be scaled evenly like 50%.

Q. What file types do you accept for vehicle graphics?
A. We can use a variety of file types. We prefer to use vector files whenever possible, these allow files to be scaled to any size without losing resolution.. We can take AI, EPS, or a high quality PDF. If we are working with raster files (images) then we can use PSD, TIFF, EPS and high quality JPG and PDF's, these file types most likely will need to be digitally printed.

Q. What size and resolution should our artwork be?
A. When designing your artwork, it is best to design as close the final size as possible. If the file is very large then you can design at 50% of the final size and we can scale it before output. When designing at 50% be aware that a 400 dpi image will become 100 dpi once scaled to 100%. When it comes to resolution, we prefer to have 400 dpi or higher. At minimum, we can work with 100 dpi if the image is at full size.
Q. Can I use images from the internet?
A. Normally images from the internet are not ideal as the resolution is usually very low and has been scaled down to fit on a screen. However, if this is your only source, the larger the image the better. We will try to work with that image the best that we can.
Q. How long will my project take to complete?
A. On average, projects take between 3 – 5 days to complete from the time that the artwork is approved.
Q. What is the cost for designing a vehicle wrap?
A. There is a design fee of $75/per hour. The total design cost varies depending on the complexity of your design, you're welcome to determine an allotted amount of hours for us to work on the design based on the budget you have to work with. Keep in mind that vehicle wraps typically include design, material, and installation costs, all of which we will quote you for before beginning the job.
Q. Do I need to bring in my vehicle before you start the design process?
We design vehicle wraps specifically for your vehicle so it is recommended that you bring the vehicle by our shop so we can take pictures for reference purposes. If you only want decals for the doors of your vehicle your welcome to call us with the measurements of the panels, and we can design the layout based on the space available.
