Frequently Asked Questions:

Q closedWhat file types do you accept for vehicle graphics?

A 37px.pngWe can use a variety of file types. We prefer to use vector files whenever possible, these allow files to be scaled to any size without losing resolution.. We can take AI, EPS, or a high quality PDF. If we are working with raster files (images) then we can use PSD, TIFF, EPS and high quality JPG and PDF's, these file types most likely will need to be digitally printed.

Q closedWhat is the difference between vector and raster file types?

A 37px.pngA vector file is one where there are lines or defined edges of the graphic (including text) and the computer fills color in between those lines. A very small vector graphic can be enlarged to any size and it will still look exactly the same. A vector image can be cut from vinyl or it can be printed. A raster file is made up of pixels or small boxes of different colors to make up an image. Photographs are raster images. Most complex graphics are raster images. Our ability to enlarge a raster image depends on how large of an image we start with and the number of pixels per inch in that image. An example is you may have an image that was designed to use on the web and it is 1" x 1" at 72 ppi. You may have another graphic that is 1" x 1" at 300 ppi. We could expand the 72 ppi graphic 3-4 times as large without to much distortion. The 300 ppi graphic may be able to expand to 10-12 times it size without to much distortionVector Raster.

Q closedWhat size and resolution should our artwork be?

A 37px.pngWhen designing your artwork, it is best to design as close the final size as possible. If the file is very large then you can design at 50% of the final size and we can scale it before output. When designing at 50% be aware that a 400 dpi image will become 100 dpi once scaled to 100%. When it comes to resolution, we prefer to have 400 dpi or higher. At minimum, we can work with 100 dpi if the image is at full size.

Q closedCan I use images from the internet?

A 37px.pngNormally images from the internet are not ideal as the resolution is usually very low and has been scaled down to fit on a screen. However, if this is your only source, the larger the image the better. We will try to work with that image the best that we can.

Q closedHow long will my project take to complete?

A 37px.pngOn average, projects take between 3 – 5 days to complete from the time that the artwork is approved.

Q closedWhat is the cost for designing a vehicle wrap?

A 37px.pngThere is a design fee of $75/per hour. The total design cost varies depending on the complexity of your design, you're welcome to determine an allotted amount of hours for us to work on the deisgn based on the budget you have to work with.
